Lecterns are reading desks with a slanted top. The word Lectern comes from the word Lectus meaning "to read". Lecterns are usually used by someone who is making a speech or talking in front of a big crowd or audience. Acrylic Lecterns are made of Acrylic, a substance which is quite similar to glass but is more superior to glass in so many ways, thus it is even more superior to plastic. The advantage of using an Acrylic Lecterns is that the speaker will not have a hard time looking at their notes or a teleprompter.
